This is what we've learned after the most recent episode:
1. Queens like taking hearts and keeping them in boxes.
2. The Curse didn't affect Jefferson/the Hatter.
3. The Evil Queen's father died twice -both times for his heart.
4. Emma is "special" enough to make Jefferson's hat transport him out of Storybrooke.
All this is pretty retarded. You're telling me the Evil Queen's father died twice for his heart? What kind of bullshit is that? Dude shoulda known to keep away from Queen's 'cause those bitches is CRAZAY! Aside from that, Jefferson was really adamant about going back in order to be with his daughter Grace. Yet he's aware that the Curse transported all the Fairy Tale folk into Storybrooke sans remembering where they're really from. What the hell is the point in going back if all the people in Fairy Tale Land AREN'T THERE?!
The other question is: How did he remember? Well, seeing as he was in an alternate world when the Curse took place, that could explain how he remembers, though it only means 1 of 2 things.
a) The Curse affected ALL alternate lands, which would mean that Storybrooke would have a lot more people in it than it currently does as a result
Or
b) The Curse affected only those who were born in Fairy Tale Land, which would explain how he ended up in Storybrooke and not other characters such as the Queen of Hearts (who I imagine would be a constant contender against Mayor Regina).
Regardless, this episode didn't explain much. It only served to deviate from the Grimm Fairy Tale influence and make Emma second-guess the possibility that Henry isn't lying about the book. I think they could've pulled off the latter without Hatter.
